Legal Studies (2021)

Law impacts everyone and every aspect of life and is the cornerstone of a functioning society. As a result, there is a general interest in law and as a social phenomenon law pervades professional life across a wide range of sectors including armed forces, corporate governance, environmental regulation, human resources, indigenous governance, NGOs, police and public service.

  • Prescriptions for the PGCert(LS) and PGDip(LS)

    To complete a PGCert(LS), students must complete 60 points at 500 level consisting of 60 points from the papers listed below, including LEGAL500 and LEGAL509.

    To complete a PGDip(LS), students must complete 120 points at 500 level consisting of 120 points from the papers listed below, including LEGAL500 and LEGAL509.

  • Prescriptions for the MLS

    To complete a MLS, students admitted under section 2(a) of the MLS regulations must complete 180 points at 500 level consisting of 180 points from the papers listed below, including LEGAL500 and LEGAL509.

    To complete a MLS, students admitted under section 2(b) of the MLS regulations must complete 120 points at 500 level consisting of 120 points from the papers listed below, including LEGAL509. Students who have not completed a Bachelor of Laws must also include LEGAL500.
