Civil Design Challenge 2 - ENGCV380 (2022)

In this paper, the students are tasked with the completion of an open-ended Civil Engineering project. Lectures will discuss different aspects of the design process from writing a project brief, generating and selecting ideas and developing the design with a strong emphasis on Safety in Design. The final design will give students the opportunity to apply knowledge gained from earlier papers including the design of steel or reinforced concrete structures. This will all be embedded in a group activity with students tasked to prepare and deliver a full presentation of their projects at the end of the trimester.
