Discourse and Counselling Psychologies - COUNS544 (2021)
This paper offers a social constructionist and poststructuralist perspective on counselling and includes consideration of cultural approaches and psychological theories which have influenced counselling practice. Students will be introduced to concepts which enable analysis of therapeutic conversations.

Note: Enrolment in this paper is limited to 20 students. This paper is taught partially online and includes an on campus workshop and a five-day noho marae. It is a compulsory paper for the MCouns and is also open to other graduates who demonstrate relevant background and experience.
