Māori Environmental Management - ENVPL505 (2020)
This paper aims to extend student understanding of key concepts, principles and methods relevant to Maori environmental management. Students who complete this paper will be expected to show an understanding or Maori perspectives on environmental management and be aware of the diversity within the Maori world. The paper has a focus on Maori and the Resource Management Act (RMA) and provides students with an understanding of co-management, partnership and collaboration with hapu and iwi in contemporary environmental management. Students will be expected to demonstrate communication skills necessary to facilitate Maori environmental planning.
