Special Topic: Health, Physical Activity and Wellbeing: Interdisciplinary Perspectives - HSHUP520 (2019)

This paper draws upon the latest research across the disciplines to offer students new conceptual tools for understanding the social, cultural, historical, political and economic complexities of health and physical activity in contemporary society. Students will explore a series of international and Aotearoa-specific case studies, and will be supported in developing research-informed strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
