Work-related Project - ARTSW306 (2019)
The Applied Project is mostly a university-based project with a workplace or community focus. The project will consist of engaging with a relevant workplace/community. If the work undertaken has an applied focus but within an academic context, then the university should be seen as the relevant workplace/community (e.g., lab experiment design for class, university research project, R&D work, background/literature research to plan a research project, etc).
It is expected that students will treat the relevant workplace/community as a client and communicate with the relevant workplace/community group to negotiate their expectations and scope of the work. As part of this communication, the student go to the relevant location of the workplace/community and may even be situated there for a period of time. This project will be conducted singularly/as a group. Once the project has been completed it will be presented to the relevant workplace/community in a written and oral form.
