Work-Integrated Learning (2022)

All of our undergraduate qualifications offer a work-integrated element to give students an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills in community and workplace settings. This work-integrated element may be a single paper, or it may be a collection of papers. Completing this work-integrated element is compulsory.

The work-integrated learning papers are listed here by Division. However, the appropriate paper or papers will depend on which qualification and subjects you are studying. For course planning information, please see a Student Advisor in your Division of study.

  • Division of Arts, Law, Psychology and Social Sciences

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Music or a Bachelor of Social Sciences you should include any one of ALPSS301, ARTSW300, ARTSW301, ARTSW302, LINGS301, MEDIA307, POPST300, PSYCH300, PSYCH301, SOCSC300, SOCSC301, SPNSH300 or WRITE396.

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Law, you should contact the Faculty of Law for advice on the appropriate Work-Integrated Learning paper.

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Environmental Planning your programme will already include ENVPL304 or ENVPL407 and ENVPL402.

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Computing and Mathematical Sciences with Honours or a Bachelor of Science, you should contact the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences for advice on the appropriate Work-Integrated Learning paper.

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Design you should include DSIGN350.

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) your programme will already include ENGEN271 and ENGEN371. If you are studying the Diploma in Engineering Professional Practice concurrent with the BE(Hons) your programme will already include ENGEN272 and ENGEN372 (in place of ENGEN271 and ENGEN371).

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Health, Sport and Human Performance you should include HSHUP301 or HSHUP302.

    If you are studying a Bachelor of Science you should include any one of SCIEN301, SCIEN303 or SCIEN313 (if studying through the School of Science).
