Basic algebraic concepts and an introduction to Calculus and Statistics. This paper provides a last chance for students to correct a weak background in mathematics. Students who meet the prerequisites of MATH165 or MATH166 should take one of those papers instead. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the Department of Mathematics is required in order to enrol in this paper a second or subsequent time. Internal assessment/examination ratio: 1:1 or 0:1, whichever is more favourable for the student Note: This paper may not be taken concurrently with or subsequent to obtaining a pass in any other 100 level Mathematics or Statistics paper. This paper may not be credited towards the required number of science papers for a BSc or BSc(Tech) or towards a supporting subject in Mathematics.
